This made me laugh initially, but I live with my grandmother and I suddenly realised how sad this really is.
My grandmother will knock on my bedroom door at the randomest times and just sit on my bed and watch me blog for something to do. She will ask me if I have eaten, every bloody second, because preparing food gives her something to do. She will ask me if I have done my homework, even though I am on holidays.
While some elderly people have outlets, not all of them, at least not my Nonna.
The truth is, most elderly people are very lonely and spend every day finding something to do.
I have bought my grandmother books, films, but she struggles to enjoy them because she is often unable to concentrate, but at the same time, she struggles to sleep as well.
Sometimes, she annoys the fuck out of me, but I forever remain sorry for her.
